What To Bring

  • Instrument with accessories such as shoulder rest, spare strings, rosin, mute, rock-stop
  • Suzuki books
  • Folding music stand in good condition (put your name on each part) - only needed if you are reading music.
  • The piano accompaniment to your solo piece if you are performing on a recital
  • Recordings of your Suzuki Books
  • Assigned orchestra and/or chamber music in a folder
  • A tote bag or backpack to carry your music, pencils with good erasers, music stand, metronome, tuner
  • Water bottle (Pitzer College has filling stations on campus so refillable water bottles are recommended.)
  • Listening equipment
  • If you plan to do the 4pm yoga class, please bring a yoga mat to use.
  • If you wish to use volleyball or basketball courts, please bring your own ball to use.
  • Friday Finale Concerts - LASI students, please wear dressy attire.
  • CMW Students, White top and black skirt or pants OR all black outfit for all CMW performances. (Girls - skirts must cover your knees while seated.)

Dormitory Info

  • Linens are provided (pillow with case, blanket, 2 bed sheets, bath towel, hand towel, face towel, one plastic cup and bar of bath soap)
  • No pets (other than service dogs) are allowed in the residence halls. 
  • Other things you may wish to bring:
    • volleyball or basketball
    • flip-flops
    • swimming suit
    • bathrobe
    • alarm clock
    • flashlight
    • your own pillow
    • extra blanket
    • clothes hangers
  • Cell phones, laptops, or iPods ARE allowed if they are not a distraction otherwise, they will be confiscated. You must be responsible for their security.

Honors Recitals

  • Everyone is welcome to attend.
  • Application to play on an Honors Recitals must be received by May 25.

Informal "Living Room Recitals"

  • Everyone is welcome to attend.
  • There will be a sign-up sheet on Sunday, June 18. First come first serve basis until slots are filled.
  • Programs will be posted by 9am the day of the recital and we will inform you of the time and location of your recital.
  • You must supply the piano accompaniment part if playing repertoire outside of the Suzuki books.
  • Informal recitals are held on Wednesday, June 21 at 1:00pm.
