Who are we?

Welcome to the Los Angeles Suzuki Institute and Chamber Music Workshop. Our institute is a family oriented Suzuki music summer program for students, parents and teachers  of all ages and levels.

LASI offers a nurturing music experience on the beautiful campus of Pitzer College in Claremont, CA, located about 50 miles East of Los Angeles International Airport or 9 miles West of Ontario International Airport.

Students in the Foundational Program receive semi-private lessons, group lessons, enrichment classes (such as fiddling, orchestra, music theory or Dalcroze) and perform.

Junior Program is for intermediate students, who receive semi-private lessons, group lessons, chamber music experience and enrichment classes (such as orchestra, fiddling, Dalcroze) and perform.

Young Artists is for advanced students ages 13 and up.  Young Artists receive semi-private lessons, ensemble experience, chamber music experience and enrichment classes (such as music recording, Dalcroze, fiddling or orchestra) and perform. (Advanced students ages 10 and up may participate in chamber music within the Junior Program.)

Parents gain inspiration observing their children receive instruction from expert teachers and develop community spending time with fellow parents.  Parent lectures are offered at no extra cost.

Teachers take SAA approved teacher training courses from world class Teacher Trainers and observe students studying with guest clinicians.

Come join in the fun, make new friends, mentors and colleagues, and leave inspired, nurtured and rejuvenated!

Please see our website for complete participation guidelines.
