Dr. Grubbs - best for lunch, this is a quick take-out place with good food for both adults and kids 

Union on Yale - casual yet sophisticated food including pizzas for kids. Large patio! 

Walter's - this place has almost any type of food your heart desires, from salads, to Afghan to Mexican. Large patio. 

Aruffo's - mid range Italian food with many choices. Not casual attire. 

Eureka! - burgers, beer, and the works. In a cool location of Claremont's Packing House, with many shops and cool things to view nearby
